Overnight French Toast Bake

Overnight French Toast Bake

We all need easy, quick but delicious meals to feed our family. This overnight french toast will feed the hungriest bellies with very minimal effort. It's great when you have overnight guest and would like to spend more time visiting than in the kitchen. Its also a wonderful dish to serve on Christmas morning! You can pop it in the oven before the kiddos open gifts and have this warm comforting french toast waiting for them when they are finished!

  • Brioche or Thick Bread
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • Confection Sugar or Maple Syrup

1. Cut up bread into cubes and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

2. Mix eggs, vanilla, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt together in a mixing bowl.

3. Pour mixture over bread, cover and let it sit in the fridge overnight to soak up all that goodness!

In the morning stick it in a preheated oven at 350 degrees and bake for 40 minutes.

Top with confection sugar or maple syrup. Enjoy!

You can also add chocolate chips to this dish after you add the egg mixture for some added sweetness. The kiddos would love it!

This dish is perfect served alone but when I am feeding a large group I cook scrambled eggs and sausage to go along with it for a real hearty meal that will make this dish stretch even further!
